Christian Sol was born and raised in Oslo, the capital of Norway, where he live and have his studio today. Music has always been a big part of his life. His father was a classical musician, and both his sister and mother played the piano. At the age of five he borrowed his mom’s A-Ha cassette with the hit single “Take on me”, and played it in kindergarten. Christian consider this to be his first dj gig ever. All through elementary school, he was the guy bringing the latest dance and house records to the parties and started experimenting with music writing. A few years later Christian went from playing around with the Casio keyboard, to making music using a computer. He uploaded the tracks on local network servers, long before the internet became main stream, and received great feedback from other electronic music geeks. It took a few years before his first vinyl release on his own record label Clean Productions. It was a groovy deep house record, and it became the record of the week in “Vinyl Junkies” in London. Deep house and tech house have always been Christian's favorite house genre, but he also worked with other musicians for a more loungey sound. Around the year 2000, Christian decided to dedicate himself to music full time and attended a sound engineering school to improve his production skills.
