Artist
Christian Rivet is a distinguished French guitarist, composer, and poet. A graduate of the CNR of Metz and the CNSMDP of Paris, he studied guitar with Alexandre Lagoya, receiving top honors in guitar and chamber music. He further refined his artistry under the guidance of Alvaro Pierri, Michel Debost, and Aurèle Nicolet. Rivet is an accomplished composer, with works such as Quelque part dans l’inachevé (2018) and Une Nuit de plein Jour (2020). His compositions have been premiered by leading ensembles and orchestras, including the Ensemble intercontemporain and Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France. Rivet’s innovative approach bridges ancient and modern styles, uniting instruments like the Renaissance lute and electric guitar.
