Christgau's Last Stand was the main output for noise musician and sound artist William Bowers. It has since been disbanded and renamed as the harsher and much more structure-oriented Narshe. During its time, William solidified himself and CLS as not only one of the first known noise projects from the area, but also as one who did it quite differently. Combining everything from thrift store keyboards to clanking pots and pans to the sound of his own urination, Christgau's Last Stand was a unique and startling experience, with raw and visceral stigmas nowhere to be seen.
