Christina Costanza (full name: Christina Nicola Costanza, born August 23, 1995) is an American singer, songwriter, musician and content creator. She is best known as the lead vocalist and primary songwriter of the pop rock band Against the Current, a band based in Poughkeepsie, New York. She is of Italian-American descent and grew up surrounded by music, developing a passion for singing early on. Early Career & Against the Current: In 2011, she met Dan Gow and Will Ferri and joined their newly formed band Against the Current. They began posting covers on YouTube before writing and releasing their own songs. The debut single “Thinking” came out in 2012, followed by the Infinity EP in 2014 and Gravity in 2015. Their first full-length album, In Our Bones, was released in 2016, followed by Past Lives (2018) and Fever (2021). Chrissy quickly became known for her powerful voice, dynamic stage presence, and thoughtful lyrics. In 2017, she performed “Legends Never Die” with League of Legends’ virtual group Against the Current x Worlds 2017, which became a global hit and solidified her recognition beyond the rock scene. Solo activities: In 2024, Costanza officially launched her solo career with the single “7 Minutes in Hell” (featuring VOILÀ). The track introduced a darker, cinematic pop-rock sound and explored more personal themes.
