Born in the cotton capital of California, Chris Youngblood fled the small town of Corcoran in 1994 and planted himself right in the middle of Hollywood. The land of plenty! It wasn’t long before Youngblood realized his new surroundings would be perfect for his talent. And every day since, his dreams of becoming an R&B sensation have become more vivid than the resting sun in his rear view mirror. Youngblood took to the stage every chance he had. From talent shows at the local colleges, to performing all over Hollywood, Youngblood is no stranger to the stage. His love for the stage is evident as he gives his all at every show, even breaking a sweat while finding a soft spot in the audience to croon to the ladies falling at his feet! In 2001, Youngblood stole away to New York to write and produce his first self titled CD – YOUNGBLOOD which he still performs songs from in his current lineup. While braving the East cold, Youngblood met and sang background for Melba Moore as she performed in a ceremony celebrating Paul Robeson. Having met a few producers along the way, several tracks recorded by YB have made their way to the world of video gaming, TV and Film while also serving as his 2nd CD – Mista’ YOUNGBLOOD ‘A Collection of Songs.’ Still awaiting his big break, he remains humble while appreciating the inspiration he continues to find in his idols – Donny, Marvin, Otis Redding, Prince and Dave Hollister to name a few.
