biography Chris Walsh has been a club veteran since the age of 16. Growing up in Chicago at an ideal time, Chris had the privilege of attending Chicago's legendary Medusa's nightclub. It was at Medusa's where Chris' dance music tastes were formed. The late 80's were a great time for music in Chicago and Medusa's was the place to hear new dance music first. From the industrial sounds of Chicago's Wax Trax label (Ministry, Revolting Cocks and Front 242) to the early House sounds being released on such seminal Chicago labels as DJ International and Trax, Chicago was creating the blueprint for the soundtrack of global dance music culture. Chris' early mentor was Chicago DJ/Producer Mark Picchiotti. Mark was a prominent DJ in Chicago playing at Medusa's, Crobar and Shelter. Mark also had international fame as a music producer, producing artists such as Jamiroquai, Latour and Kylie Minogue. After helping Mark put together his new studio, Chris was offered the position as a studio assistant. It was here, working with Mark Picchiotti, that Chris was schooled in the art of DJing and music production, working on projects for Madonna, Pet Shop Boys and The Absolute. Soon after learning the ropes with Mark, Chris began his professional DJ career playing at some of Chicago's leading clubs including Shelter, Crobar, and Karma.
