Artist
Christopher Ryan Trousdale (born June 11, 1985) is a solo pop singer, dancer, and actor. Trousdale was born in New Port Richey, Florida to a Greek American father and an Irish American mother.[1] He has performed in various Broadway shows including The Sound of Music and Les Miserables. He was also a member of the Broadway Kids (whose alumni include Christy Carlson Romano, Lacey Chabert and Greg Raposo), with whom he recorded several CDs. In 1999, he was chosen to be one of the five members of the teen boy band Dream Street (formerly known as 'Boy Wonder' -minus Matt, Frank, and Jesse-), created by Brian Lukow and Louie Baldonieri alongside Gregory Raposo, Matthew Ballinger, Frank Galasso, and Jesse McCartney. The group's debut album, released on Edel Records in July 2001, was #1 on Billboard's Top Independent Albums Chart in its first week of release and has gone on to sell a million copies nationwide. In 2002, the band broke up over a legal dispute between the group members and their parents. Trousdale pursued a solo career with the managers of Dream Street; he was soon signed to Columbia Records. However, the arrangement did not last long as Columbia wanted Trousdale to be a part of a new Dream Street boyband. That was something neither Trousdale nor his managers wanted, so he was dropped by Columbia Records in 2005. The Biggest Fan, co-starring Trousdale and Kaila Amariah, was released on home video and DVD in May 2005 (featuring original remastered Dream Street track
