Chris Steger was born on December 26, 2003 in Schwarzach. He began playing the guitar at the age of eight. From then on he concentrated on making music and sang in the school choir. Does Chris seem familiar to you? Probably because he has participated in several competitions such as "The Voice Kids", "Kiddy Contest" and "Falco goes School", the last two he has won. In 2020, Global Rockstar signed him and Chris began writing songs together with Christof Straub (Papermoon). His debut single "Zefix" immediately reached millions of streams on Spotify. No. 1 in iTunes & Radio Charts, weeks of placement in the Spotify editorial playlist "Viral 50 Austria", countless interviews on radio, TV & press, as well as over 5 million views on YouTube make it the Austropop discovery of the year 2020! Now he is releasing his first album song by song. Chris addresses moving topics with his songs, and hits directly into the heart. The song "Leicht kennen ma's hom" spreads the important message "Love is stronger than hate", with this Chris was able to directly follow on from the success of "Zefix", and again reached No. 1 in the iTunes charts as well as great attention of the press - this time also beyond the borders of Austria. In April 2021 he was nominated by Ö3 for two Amadeus Awards - "Song of the year" (Zefix) & in the category "Pop/ Rock".
