There are two artists with this name: 1. Chris Shaffer is a female singer/songwriter from Inchelium, Washington. She was lead vocalist for Kiyote Moon from 1992-2002. 2. Chris Shaffer is a singer/songwriter who hails from Indiana. He spent over a decade as the lead singer of rock group The Why Store, releasing 6 albums during their run, including two albums with MCA Records (the first of which contained the single "Lack of Water" which was a top 20 track on Rock radio and a #1 track on Triple-A radio). After The Why Store broke up in mid-2000, Chris formed Shaffer Street, which toured the midwest and released 2 albums. Chris is now primarily known as a solo artist (though in some cases is advertised as the Chris Shaffer Band), and continues to record and tour to this day.
