Chris Rodriguez was born in Bronx, NY, and learned to play guitar while attending high school. He enrolled in Belmont University's School of Music in Nashville, which led to him becoming one of Music City's most in-demand performers. Originally a non-practicing Catholic, Rodriguez joined a tour with Michael W. Smith which introduced him to the world of contemporary Christian music. He later performed on two world tours with Amy Grant before joining the bands of such performers as Kenny Loggins, Shania Twain and, most recently, Keith Urban. In 1999, Rodriguez released a solo Christian album, "Beggar's Paradise;" a Spanish-language equivalent, "Paraíso De Un Mendigo," was issued simultaneously.
