Grindin', Jumpin', Hollerin', Blues Chris Mawer is one of the premier talents in modern day blues music, has performed at major events and festivals around the world, has shuffled through cities, remote areas, promoting his unique blend of blues, jump and swing. Chris has had an interesting and colorful music career spanning well over a decade, and has performed, recorded and toured extensively with many Australian and International blues acts. Independently released, 'one way ticket' is the second album from Chris Mawer and features some new uptempo blues and swing tunes as well as some blues favorites. Chris' music has been influenced by such greats as Albert King, Howlin' Wolf, Willie Dixon, Ray Charles and other greats of the style and you can catch him turning his hand to many different instruments, having played professionally on drums, guitars, as a vocalist and most at home on upright and electric basses. This allows Chris great scope and knowledge as a band leader and arranger/producer. In recent years, he's also spent some time producing works for some other top line Australian talents, and recently founded his own record label for the projects.
