Half Greek Cypriot, half German Sri Lankan producer, singer and film-maker Chris Kaz is creating a bold new world with his fragile, otherworldly compositions. Premiered on i-D, Track 01 (The first cut off his LP 'Untold') is darkly delicate, bathed in the ethereal while shifting, imperceptibly, between moods. Chris’ story is most precariously drawn of all expectations crossing into classical, left and tech-step genres, with bass-driven, futuristic beats. His carefully constructed music is potent yet minimal, fabricated through knowledge of classical composition, electronic production and a musical subtlety honed over the years.
