Artist
Chris Doolittle (aka Mr. Doolittle) has been playing music since he was 11 years old, when he played his first gig at a local McDonalds in his home town of Simi Valley, California. He has been in love with writing and performing music ever since. In addition to children’s music, Chris plays guitar, sings, and writes for the Kansas City rock band “Frank’s Dream,” and was a founding member of the locally popular 80’s band “The Front.” He started to perform children's music when his wife asked him to play for her children in her Montessori classroom when they were first dating. Since then she has consistently "booked" him to play for her kids and the other teachers’ kids at Highlawn Montessori in Prairie Village, KS. Mr. Doolittle credits Highlawn’s kids for inspiring him to create his current album "Out of the Box." Chris Doolittle loves writing, recording and performing children's music. He also incorporates his own children's musical talents on his current album. Mr. Doolittle's son Alex, 16, plays drums on some of the songs and his other two sons are eager to help on his next album. Mr. Doolittle feels strongly about the use of music to help children learn and express themselves. He believes the songs should be fun and educational for both the parents and the kids and hopes that he has accomplished this on his album.
