Chris C (Chris Cockerill) was born in Teesside - North East England. His interest in trance music came in the late 1990s early 2000s with artists such as Paul Van Dyk, Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Mauro Picotto, Binary Finary, Matt Darey, Ayla, Lange, Solar Stone, Bedrock, etc.. caught his ear with them releasing excellent uplifting melodic trance tunes. Binary Finary - 1999, being the first single he ever bought, followed by Gouryella - Gouryella. Which are still now highly regarded as 2 of the greatest trance tunes. As trance has evolved his younger brother re-ignited his interest in trance and more recently, tech trance. A sub genre of trance which still maintains some of the uplifting, melodic content of 'old school' trance, but with a more cutting edge, darker techy feel to it. Artists such as those who are still producing from the list above still have a place on Chris's MP3 player, but he also has plenty of space for more recent producers such as John O'Callaghan, Sean Tyas, Simon Patterson, Super8 & Tab, Paul Webster etc..
