Choo Young Woo is a South Korean actor affiliated with J-Wide Company. He graduated from Hansol High School and is currently on leave from the Acting Department of Korea National University of Arts. During his high school years, he briefly considered becoming an idol after being scouted by JYP Entertainment, but ultimately chose to pursue acting. To support his training, his family relocated from Sejong to Seoul so he could attend an acting academy. He made his acting debut in 2021 with the web series You Make Me Dance (μ λ©μ΄ν¬ λ―Έ λμ€). In 2023, he received his first acting award, the "New Male Actor" award, at the Brand of the Year Awards. In 2025, he won the "Best New Actor in the Broadcasting Category" at the 61st Baeksang Arts Awards for his performance in "The Tale of Lady Ok".
