Chloe Read (Born November 23, 1986 in Essex, United Kingdom) started developing her interest in music since young age by being exposed to a myriad of genres and learning to play a plethora of instruments, including piano, bass & violin among an extensive list. She has mentioned The Beatles, John Williams, Danny Elfman and Gackt as her main influences, but she has also stated that her music knows no bound of style or genre. Read's work grew from pop lyrics and music to what she calls "atmospheric soundscapes", although she has stated that she "[writes] far too much at the moment to be able to pigeon-hole it", and that she is "just looking at different genres and seeing what [she] can do with that". Read uses a MacBook and Logic Pro 7.2 as her main composing tool, although she also has knowledge of ProTools and Cubase. Currently, she is studying Digital Music at the University of Brighton and releasing some of her work sporadically through her MySpace page. Read's plans for the future involve a professional career developing instrumental music for films, TV or video games; although she hasn't ruled out the use of her own vocals in her music.
