Chirleison is an Italian neofolk band founded in the year 2000 in Sardinia, Italy The band was born from the ashes of Essences, when singer Alessia Cicala and guitarist Daniele Serra were joined by keyboardist Mara Lasi, giving birth to Chirleison. Enchanted by ancient sounds and nature, using different languages (Italian, French, English), the members try to filter their personal experiences through a musical research, simple and spontaneous. Their debut and so far only album, "A Whisper", was released in June 2004 on The Fossil Dungeon. In 2005 Daniele Serra and Mara Lasi founded a new project, named Medusa's Spell.
