A collaboration between the world-famous Brazilian band Carrapicho and a three-piece group of American female singers assembled in Germany, Chilli. They got together in 1997 to re-record Carrapicho's 1996 hit recorded in France and #1 in France and Portugal that year; Tic, Tic Tac. The revamped song was produced by Frank Farian (known for Milli Vanilli, Boney M., No Mercy, La Bouche) and released on his MCI label, billied both under Chilli feat. Carrapicho and Carrapicho feat. Chili. It did not achieve a #1 anywhere, but it was a top-ten hit in Germany, Austria, Norway and Switzerland and #8 on Billboard Hot Dance Club Play. It charted in a lot of other European countries and Canada as well. The single prompted re-recording of Carrapicho's entire Festa do boi bumba album, as Chilli feat. Carrapicho's Dance to Boï Bumba. Chilli later went on to record another single, Say I'm Your No. 1 with Keep On Dancing' as its B-side in 1998 and nothing was heard from them since. Carrapicho resumed their career.
