The story of Chief Mart's began in 1998 when three friends from tétange began intense jamming. Nowadays chief has five members: Chris, Fabien, Gerard, Richard and Sylvain. The music of Chief Mart's may sound a bit strange: At times (very) loud, then quiet , groovy, then ambient, sometimes rock, then experimental, spacey with oriental flavour..., it could be best described as "instruMENTAL Psychedelic Space Rock". The, often very long, songs of the band should invite the listener on a colourful journey to the unknown spheres of his mind.A major enemy of the band ist boredom, so they try to combine as many influences as possible, like 70es Psychedelic Rock, 90es Space Rock, Electro and Ambient music, Progressive Rock of the great 70es dinosaurs, Dub, Post Rock, Drone Rock, Indie Rock...
