Chicago Blues All-Stars (CBAS) is a band that features top studio and touring musicians from Chicago. Together they have created an all-star revue that draws on all styles of Americana for inspiration. “Killer” Ray Allison & Daniel "Chicago Slim" Ivankovich, whose musical stylings reflect their lifelong commitment as Blues disciples, lead the band. CBAS has shared the stage & recorded with a Who's Who of legendary entertainers both domestically and internationally. The band's members have worked alongside hall of fame artists such as Chuck Berry, Eric Clapton, Albert Collins, James Cotton, Bo Diddley, Buddy Guy & Junior Wells, Albert King, Ohio Players, Rolling Stones, Otis Rush, Koko Taylor and Muddy Waters. “Killer” Ray Allison (Guitar/Vocals): First broke into music during the early 1970's and has been a regular on the international Blues circuit for over four decades, "Killer" Ray has been an integral tour-de-force in bands by James Cotton, Buddy Guy, Koko Taylor, Muddy Waters and Junior Wells. In 1998 and 2000, Ray was nominated for the W. C. Handy Award as an instrumentalist. He's also a featured performer on Eagle Rock Entertainment's 2012 DVD/CD release, "Muddy Waters & The Rolling Stones Live At The Checkerboard Lounge, Chicago 1981."
