Chester Copperpot hail from the south of Sweden, taking their name from the pirate in the motion picture "The Goonies". The Copperpots released their debut CD "Poems and Short Stories" on Dolores Records in 1996 and toured heavily to promote the record which became a minor hit. In 2004 they returned with a semi-new line up and the new release "The Kings of Kirby" on Popkid records. It is a much varied affair, more personal, with fine popsongs that has an undeniable sense of charm and wit which makes Chester Copperpot a unique brand of powerpop that lasts for repeated listening pleasure.
