Cherax Destructor (AKA CxDr) is the laptop-toting side of multifaceted Sydney musician Avery Hutley. Her past love affairs with indie pop and post-rock collide with a fixation on the future of the electronic to create a unique blend of unconventional sounds from instrumental hip-hop to IDM. Avery officially retired the Cherax Destructor moniker in 2017, but has continued to release music as marumaru, helpful kappa, ᴅᴀɪᴋᴜ ɪɴᴅᴜsᴛʀɪᴇs, and lucky beast.
