Chelsea Sofia is an indie singer-songwriter based in the San Francisco area. Her influences include Taylor Swift, Kodaline and The Pixies. She is also member of the alternative rock band The Harder We Fall. Her music blends a singer-songwriter sound with a country vibe. She reached the third round on American Idol’s final 2016 season at its San Francisco open call. The judges indicated they were looking for another Kelly Clarkson, to which she replied, “Thanks, but I am just looking for me.” Chelsea was born in Brookline, Massachusetts and now attends Piedmont High School in Piedmont, California, and is a dual Spanish-American citizen. Her music career began as an accomplished pianist, and later guitarist. Her music can be found on YouTube as well as SoundCloud, and her debut album was released in 2016.
