Chateau Chateau has been Tucson’s favorite self-deprecating party band since 2018. The formation of the five members began in the sweltering, dark caverns of an aerospace hanger with nothing but an audience of passerby dunkards making their way to the next door brewhouse. Though the five members fly far different flags, they found a creative unity in the harnessing of their unique powers. Alex Hamby, the founder, guitar player, and vocalist, whose biophysics background brings an analytical attention to detail to each track. Myles Hamby, Alex’s brother and bassist, is the emotional free spirit and voice of the party that all bands strive to possess. Zane Emory, the rhythm guitar and keyboard player, holds a dual B.A. in English and Creative Writing, and moonlights as the group’s resident tastemaker. Rachel Fitz, keytar player and vocalist, is a professional artist, and keeps the band’s creativity grounded and focused. Tom Hopper, drummer, is the beautifully sweet wild card of the group. Equal parts oddball and amigo, he keeps things interesting, never failing to remind the group that they have the greatest job in the world. Thanks to Alex’s various chance encounters, he was able to build a group of complementing personalities that makes Chateau Chateau a Tucson powerhouse.
