Chasing Amy were a 5 piece Pop Punk band from Sheffield, UK. CHRIS CHILDS - VOCALS SAMUEL HAGUE - BASS GAVIN BARNETT - DRUMS SAM MARRIOTT - GUITAR/VOCALS SHAUN DILLON - LEAD GUITAR (Ex Lead Guitarist - PADDY FLETCHER) They formed in early 2007 under the name 'A View From The Attic'. When the original singer Laurie Nicholas left due to personal reasons the band auditioned for a new singer and eventually found Chris Childs. Chris brought a whole new sound to the band and plenty of song ideas. The band decided to change their name to 'Chasing Amy' after the popular Kevin Smith film. The boys soon went to Axis Studio in Doncaster to record the songs 'Never The Less' and 'I Keep My Eyes Shut'. Using myspace to get their music out there like most bands Chasing Amy began to build a strong fanbase and started playing local shows in and around Sheffield. They soon began to branch out and play several shows all over the UK. A few months later CA went back into the studio to record 2 new songs 'You Had Me At Hello' and 'Made Of Pre-Teen Girls & Fail (The Truth)', Which was named after a quote on an anti Chasing Amy website. Some people at the time thought it would be a clever idea. Chasing Amy and Winch House did their first UK Headline tour together in February 2009 which was named 'The Gary Gli-tour'. Chasing Amy and Winch House have been good friends ever since and have played more shows together. Between July and August 2009 Chasing Amy went on tour once again with both 'M
