Percussionist André Charlier and keyboardist Benoît Sourisse have been trawling beyond France's borders since the inception of their Charlier/Sourisse project in 2001, recruiting various American artists along the way including saxophonists Jerry Bergonzi and Kenny Garrett, and guitarist Kurt Rosenwinkel. André Charlier was born in Verviers ( Belgium) on June 13th, 1962. André began playing the drums in 1978. He has studied in Musician Institute of Los Angeles from 1985 untill 1986. Benoît Sourisse was born in 1964. The French pianist / organist has already revealed his improviser's talents as soloist both as a leader and as a sideman in various groups.
