The Danish band "Charlie, don’t surf" are Rasmus Hvass Hedeman, Jonas Andersen, Mikkel Malmberg and Mads Bøgh. The band started as an idea of Mads and Rasmus – 2 friends connected by relatives in love. Rasmus had written some songs on his acoustic guitar and the two guys started talking about starting a band. Some time after this Mads met a new cool lad, Mikkel.Mads introduced Mikkel to the band project of which Mads and Rasmus were planning. Mikkel, who had just started practicing his drum-techniques, was forced to join the band. A couple of days after returning from the mud at the festival, these three guys started playing the first modest beginnings of what were to become songs. After one session with Mads on bass, Mikkel found a new and improved bass player. And after filling him with bunches of positive words about how fantastic a band we were (going to be), Jonas Andersen bought it and joined the band. Since then these four guys have developed this lo-fi indierock/pop sound soon to take over the world!
