Charlie Whitehead was an American soul singer in the late 1960s and the 1970s. He started his career in Norfolk, VA, later moving to New York City. During his brief recording career Whitehead remained in relative obscurity, never really breaking into the pop R&B scene, despite strong musicianship, solid vocals, and poignant lyrics.
