Charlie Rivers is a singer songwriter currently based in Kent, England. Charlie’s musical exploration began when he was nine and desperate to learn the drums. After becoming the very young drummer for Tunbridge Wells based band, Trinity, he started to branch out picking up the electric and acoustic guitar. It wasn’t until he moved to Wiltshire and auditioned for the school musical that he discovered a natural talent in his voice and love for performance. This encouraged him to sit down and have a go at writing for himself. ‘Dream’ which is one of Charlie’s most popular songs today was one of his first attempts back at sixteen. ‘Dream’ and it’s growth as a pure, solid song is directly reflected in Charlie’s journey through music which continues to evolve with time and life getting so inconveniently in the way. After a long struggle with where to fit music into his life, Charlie has decided to commit to living his dream. With a sound he has found and is beginning to own and a commanding live performance under his belt, we have only seen the beginning of Charlie Rivers.
