Charlie Lou creates pop music that mixes melancholy with dance, naïve lyrics with powerful choruses, melodies and modern riffs with drum machines and synthesizers from the 80s. His sound has been described as a mix between Mauro Scocco, Phoenix, and kent. After a hiatus following the debut single “Ropar över taken” in 2014, Charlie Lou came back again in the spring of 2018 with two additional singles. “Inga snygga muskler” was released in February 2018 and was co-written with Isak Friberg from Llojd. It has been played on national Swedish radio (SR P3, P4, and P5) and made it to the top 10 on the Viral Top 50 in Sweden on Spotify. “Natten” was released in May 2018 and has been featured on Indie Highlights on Spotify.
