Charlie Brooker (°1971) is a British journalist, comic writer and broadcaster. He writes columns for the British newspaper The Guardian, which include Screen Burn (a satirical look at television). Based on the success of the column, Brooker was allowed to make a television version of the column for by BBC Four, Screenwipe. He also made Newswipe (a satirical look at the news), Gameswipe (a one-off special about computer games in the Screenwipe format) and You Have Been Watching (a satirical quiz about television for Channel 4). In 2010, Charlie Brooker moved to the world of radio with BBC Radio 4's So Wrong It's Right, which allegedly celebrates "Britain's favourite subject: failure".
