Charlie & The Welfare comes from Brabant and was founded in 2005. The Band consists of four passionate musicians, each of whom has gained experience in both national and international bands. With their idiosyncratic combination of rock, rhythm and blues, country and soul, they have released a number of great CDs. with the titles "Cross the Line" and "A Different time". That the band is influenced by men like SRV; John Hiatt and John Fogerty can be heard well in some songs. Besides the great vocal chords of Hans Vermeeren and the cool Hammond sound of Frankie Vee (Frans Vriens), the tight bass pluck of Laurens Verdurmen together with the rhythmic drumming of Roel Bisschop is a great unit that will certainly attract the listener to a live performance.
