Artist
Charles Mouton (c. 1626 - ?) was a French lutenist and composer. Little is known of his life other than that he was probably born in Rouen or its vicinity; there is no concrete evidence that he was a pupil of Denis Gaultier, although he was clearly a follower at least in spirit. He also probably spent some time in Italy. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
