Charles E. Givings (February 7th 1946 ~ April 15th 2012) was an American drummer and singer, known for being the leader of the band The Rare Gems. He started his career as a session drummer for Motown in Los Angeles in the 1960s. By 1969, Givings had formed the band Rare Gems Odyssey, which would later change its name.
