Chandra Calloway does ‘southern soul’ with a Texas twist.” Chandra Calloway began singing at the early age of 6 years old at the house parties of her parents, Joe Lee & Ruby Jean Calloway in a small shotgun house in Grand Prairie, TX. Her favorite song was 'Clean-up Woman' by Betty Wright. She would put on her mother\'s blouse (which appeared to be a dress) and feather cap and grab the kitchen broom. And, when the room was quiet… she would make her appearance! She had a love for singing, even then. Chandra has been on a southern soul tour, for over five years, as a back-up singer for blues artist Mel Waiters. And, she is currently working on her first major, and much anticipated project. She is busy writing and creating new 'girlfriend flava'. With songs like ‘She Was Gonna Give it to Ya’, and ‘Look who’s Jody Now!’, Chandra is destined to set the radio airwaves on fire. Singing professionally, for over 16 years, she has shared the stage with actor/comedian Steve Harvey, Erykah Badu, Ollie Woodson (of Temptations fame), Michael Bolton and even Barry Manilow, just to name a few. As a child, Chandra would sing in any church choir that she visited. Although she appeared to be shy, the stage only excited her to be seen and heard.
