Chad Van Collins composes music he terms "Ghost Music" or "Future Folk," when asked in a 2001 interview he quoted "I make music like I make a Sandwich, Piled high with flavor and with lots of mustard." Photographs both taken at rare shows and through the composer himself always show him in a John Kerry Mask, oftentimes holding a Mountain Dew or what appears to be a neon orange wrench. Chad VanCollins recently revealed his plans to reenter the music world, and released the single "Stay Away From Ape Yard At Night" from his forthcoming album (2010.) ----------------------------------------------- Chad VanCollins was founded in 1997, by band leader Chad Collins. The band started out as a collective 4 piece band, who went by the names Ross, Joey, Chandler, and Phoebe, their real names to this day have not been disclosed, but is strongly believed to be touring members of Garth Brook's side project, "Chris Gaines". The bands first album was never released, simply because the record company thought the album was too inaccessible for listeners. The 9 track self titled album featured samples of sound clips taken from the 1982 Grammy Awards Ceremony. Chad VanCollins, shortly after the denied release of the album from the record company, disbanded, the three unidentified members went on to form Kings of Leon.
