Growing up on the hard, cold streets of Brixton, South London, Cerose began to express his intimate feelings about love, life, and his responsibilities as a man living in inner-city London early on by ‘spitting bars’, an English term for rapping. He began to hone his skill, develop his delivery, and master his lyrical arsenal, preparing to step out and accomplish all his dreams of making it in the musical arena on an international level. Inspired by 2pac, Bob Marley, The Beetles and Biggie Smalls, to name a few, Cerose spent his free time penning lyrics, while trying to make ends meet. “If it weren’t for music, I would probably be in prison right now. Music is the only thing that really gives me something to aspire for: making a connection with other people. Music is my only tool in life’s battles.” Self-conviction propelled Cerose to attain two very important milestones in his development as an artist: the underground’s respect for his prophesized lyrics and a true connection through his storytelling abilities with the everyday listener. After releasing two debut mix-tapes, he was featured on the first-ever UK DVD Mix-tape, ‘Welcome to Borough 6’ and that’s when things began to heat up. Cerose was quickly asked by established Hip Hop artist Taz (Def Jam uk) to bless his album, ‘Analyze This’ on two tracks. This, in turn, led to a national tour, during which the crowd’s reception confirmed to Cerose that his words were both appreciated and wanted. More collaborations came w
