Cerebral Productions was formed in 2006. The crew is based in London and varies in its membership, but the goal always remains one and the same – to create a progressive output of drum and bass music for a world-wide audience. The influences behind the music are many, ranging from legendary drum and bass producers such as Ed Rush + Optical and the Ram Trilogy all the way through classic funk and soul records from the 1960s and 70s. The crew does not restrict itself to just one style of drum and bass. The aim is to continue to push the boundaries of this music, always keeping one eye on the future whilst never forgetting the ground breaking era of drum and bass in which the crew first discovered their passion for this sound. That was the era of 1998-2000 with the seminal events at Mr C’s now legendary London nightclub – The End. Many of the raves hosted on Friday nights by the likes of Ram Records, Prototype and Renegade Hardware were the breeding ground for this crew, along with a whole generation of other djs, producers and of course ravers all of whom now make up the modern drum and bass scene. The year 2007 has started strongly for Cerebral Productions with two fresh cuts hitting record stores in February. Look out for the debut track “Exposure” dropping on Full Force Recs, as well the follow up “Widescreen” touching down on m-Atome Recs.
