In French, Cercueil means coffin. On their myspace you will see that they describe this definition and say "and if one day you've got to babysit a baby monster, play it and look him dancing: it will certainly change your life... " I find this to be very fitting of their style of music. Erie electro that will spook you on a subtle level, but leaves you mesmerized. Featuring a range of synthetic organs, drums, guitars, and something that is probably supposed to sound like a violin, Cercueil’s eclectic selection of pseudo-instruments is indeed cohesive. And if you hold sample artists in high regards, Cercueil will definitely have you praising the synthesizer once again. Shoo Straight Shout was released March '09 on Optical sound/RCH.
