about

Celtic Chakra are four musicians based in central Europe, in the Rhein Main area of Germany and they play a blend of music from different Celtic countries as well as new composed music in the Celtic style but increasingly they play new Celtic music composed by themselves. They play today’s Celtic music with a new face but hold true to the patterns and style of those who handed the music down to them, taking care that the foundation stones on which it was founded remain cared for and tended. And with respect to the tradition from which the music came, they add to it and help it evolve and meander on it’s endless journey past the winning post. The strongest influence on their music may come from Ireland but behind it in a close second place is Scotland. Tunes from Nova Scotia (Celtic part of Canada) as well as songs in Gaelic, Galic and English pepper the pallet. From as far north as the wind swept Shetland Islands to the southern solar panels of Galecia, (Celtic part of Spain) the wind, the rain, the sun, the darkness, the light, the turning seasons, mother nature’s emotions and joys can all be heard and felt in their music.
