Cauterised –verb (used with object), -ised, -is⋅ing. to burn with a hot iron, electric current, fire, or a caustic, esp. for curative purposes; treat with a cauter. Cauterised is The Trifler. The Trifler is Cauterised. He leaps into the world of soundtrack ambience, tape loops, found sound, static, lock grooves and glitches. Described best by one reviewer as "charity shop spook-jazz. Those who like simplistic reference points can have: The Caretaker and Scorn's "The Sky is Loaded", but there's more to it than that." The Trifler describes his music as "Uneasy listening Soundtrack" music. Cauterised has released 6 EPs and 1 LP which have featured the sonic deconstruction of amongst other things the music of Delerium, obscure 70s film soundtracks and the German easy listening music. 3 more LPs are in the works and be released in 2012.
