Catman Pigbird is a rock band from Stockholm, Sweden. The trio's sound derives from the 1990's grunge scene, with bands such as Soundgarden and Alice in Chains, but also from the classic rock out of the 1970's, such as Lynyrd Skynyrd and Led Zeppelin. Catman Pigbird was formed in 2014 by long-time friends Magnus Wiklund (bass) and Christoffer Malmqvist (drums). In 2015, Tommy Ferbe (vocals/guitar) joined the band and brought in new songs for the band to jam on which quickly resulted in a promo demo that was released unsigned in 2015. The songs often contain elements of fuzzy psychadelic as well as blues riffs, and it is in this wide intersection the band operates. On December 1st 2017, Catman Pigbird released their debut EP "Sympathy for the Pigbird" on indie label Spinnup.
