Cast Of The Capital formed in summer 2006 in Aberdeen, Scotland and continue to live there. Consisting of brothers Matt and Steve Morris, Daryl Rankin and Iain Dallas they play pop-based indie rock music. 2009 has been a great year for COTC - with appearances at Rockness, Belladrum, GoNorth and Wizard Festival, as well as numerous tours in the summer. They have had the fortune to play alongside some great bands, and are pleased to have met so many friendly people along the way. Following the release of their debut EP 'Rotten Kids and Haversacks' (via London's Kittiwake Records) in September, Vic Galloway (BBC Radio Scotland), Jim Gellatly (New Music), Steve Lamacq (BBC 6 Music) and Pete Mitchell (XFM) have all taken an interest in the band, and have played EP tracks on their radio shows/podcasts. You can buy a copy through Cast of The Capital's BigCartel store or on iTunes, Play.com, Amazon.co.uk etc. PRESS "I saw them at Rockness and they were great!" - Vic Galloway (BBC Radio) "Cast of the Capital make music that sounds like it's been forged in a widescreen expanses, with empty roads trailing off into the horizon and mountains looming in the distance" - The Scotsman "The [EP] opener is bouncy and poppy, the melody is great and it has a lovely breezy air about it...this band can write some really catchy and melodic indie tunes" - Roomthirteen "This EP is certainly well worth a listen...catchy and danceable!" - Ayetunes "A hint at what we might expect in months to com
