Casey & The Pressure Group (1969-1973) were a Dutch instrumental soul/funk band, with organ player Cees Schrama as its key figure. Heavily influenced by the sounds of Booker T. & The MG's, four of the band's singles hit the Dutch charts, their best known songs being 'Soul Tango' (#25 in 1970) and 'The Heart Of A Woman' (#18 in 1971). The group released four full-length albums that sometimes featured surprising guest musicians: rockers Peter Koelewijn appeared on Lazybones (1970), whereas George Kooymans and Rinus Gerritsen of Golden Earring contributed to 1971's Comin' Home (a.k.a. The Beast And I). User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
