Originally named Theoretical Downfall, the band released an EP and an album in 2009 and 2010 respectively - the latter of which was made available as a free download. The name change comes at the same time as the band welcomes new vocalist Rashid Alami to the band, ready to add his vocal style to the bands already impressive cannon. 2. Cascades was a post-hardcore band from Lexington, Kentucky, United States. In May of 2010, a group of six guys from Lexington, Kentucky, set out to leave a mark on their local music scene. The sextet named themselves ‘Cascades’ and after a few lineup changes, realized their musical direction, drawing stylistic influence from post-hardcore bands of the last decade, and adding their own experimental flair. Thanks to their dedication playing shows around Lexington, Cascades developed a modest following around central Kentucky. This hard work led to the opportunity of performing at the 2011 Ichthus Music Festival located in Wilmore, Kentucky.
