Carverton is an American Pop/Rock band currently residing in Nashville, Tennessee. Founded in the summer of 2014 by central Pennsylvanian boys, Kyle Yorlets (died February 7, 2019) and Michael Curry; they realized their unique sound would fit better in Nashville, so the two ventured off with a couple of guitars and songs in hand. While there, they met Christian Ferguson and Michael Wiebell to complete the band and formulate the missing pieces to their sound. Together they mix different-yet-similar musical tastes, with traces of Pop Punk, Indie Pop, Hip Hop, and Rock & Roll laced throughout their songs, and an unapologetically brutal undertone that sets the precedence of their music as both authentic and personal. In 2017, Carverton launched with their self-titled EP, which blurred the lines between genres and gave the four-piece a poignant start to their career. Singer, Kyle Yorlets, expanded on the theme of the EP, by stating, “This EP to me is all about exploring the most complex and difficult parts of life: love, pain, acceptance.” The EP was produced by Danen Rector and engineered by Johnny Lutz and featured singles, “Hollywood” and “Pretty Little Monster” which became the theme song of the 2017 FIREFLY Festival recap video after their tumultuous debut performance in Dover, Delaware. This led to a performance at Doah Fest in Luray, Virgina and opening opportunities with artists: Icon for hire, Makeout, Set It Off, Boys of Fall, and Stages & Stereos. Substream Magazine
