Pierre Francisque Caroubel (1576-1611) was a French violinist. He composed some of the dances in the collection of the Trepichore from the German composer and theorist Michael Praetorius (1571-1621). These dances that came originally from Italy, were very popular in the sixteenth and early seventeenth century.
