Artist
Carlos Cruz de Castro (Madrid, 1941) is a Spanish composer. It was co-founder of several bands, the Symphonic Composers Association of Spanish and Spanish-Mexican Festival of Contemporary Music in Mexico. Professor at the Conservatory of Music in Albacete (1985-86) and Head of Production of Radio 2 Classical Radio Nacional of Spain between 1990 and 2006. He has received commissions from prestigious national and international festivals and numerous institutions, including the Ministry of Culture. Since 2001 academic Canaria Royal Academy of Fine Arts. In April 2011 the Council of Ministers of Spain awarded him the Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts.
