Cha Jung-won (차정원; born in Incheon, South Korea), better known by his stage name Car, The Garden (카더가든) is a korean singer-songwriter who debuted in 2013 under the stage name Mayson The Soul. In 2016 Car, The Garden took on a new name after his friend Oh Hyuk (오혁), who is a member of Hyukoh (혁오), suggested he change it. The name is a direct English translation of his legal name Cha Jung-won, “cha” meaning car, and “jungwon (or jeongwon)” meaning garden.
