Captain Onboard is the debut solo album from Joe Goldring. Expanding on his guitar/production work with Out in Worship, The Swans, Hope Sandoval, Toiling Midgets, Touched by a Janitor and currently Enablers, Goldring explores the atmosphere between light and shade, chaos and serenity, noise and beauty. Crookedly elegant loops fluidly bend themsleves around drumless rythms. Broken guitars melt into otherworldly voices. Captain Onboard takes it all apart and swims in it. It's a beautiful thing. Mixed by Doug Scharin (HiM, Out in Worship, June of '44, Activities of Dust) also appearing: Phil Spirto (Orso, Rex, Loftus).
